Saab Cars North America supports charitable effort

This story has been floating around on line for sometime now, and you can review videos of this story on youtube, and a photo slide show of the project car here.

A Houston, Texas area high school student purchased a badly neglected used Saab and restored it to like new condition, and used the profit from selling the car at auction to support a local charity.

The student’s parents, Saab Cars North America and others also contributed to the cause.

Having owned many Saabs ourselves which ran up hundreds of thousands of miles with ease, it is nice to see someone else recognize the value in restoring one of these cars that was so poorly maintained and put the fruits of that labor to such good use.

There aren’t enough good news stories like this out there – hats off to the student, his parents, Saab and everyone who helped.
