August 14, 2010:

Jason Castriota, Head of Saab Design speaks with Fox News on the new Saab 9-5 and the future of Saab and new models.

Perhaps the new Saab 9-3 (coming in 2012?) will bring back a hatchback and utility as well as other features to set new Saabs apart from the competition.

Talk of aerodynamics, teardrop shapes, etc. may play a role in the new design. Saab DNA will play a role in the new designs and I am excited to see what this will bring to market.

The new Saab 9-2, a smaller, more affordable premium Saab is farther off in the design process and planned launch if it comes to fruition, but is also an exciting topic for enthusiasts and fans of Saab.

The 9-3 was referred to as the “bread and butter” of Saab again, and much weight is riding on the success of a new Saab 9-3 design. Best wishes to Jason and Saab in this endeavor.

A nice interview and encouragement for the Saab faithful.

There is some discussion of Saabs safety, future electric Saabs, and designs which are also of interest to those wondering what the new Saabs will look like. Very exciting stuff… including the mention of a possible new Saab Sonnet model. Very cool indeed.
